IS DIVIDEND INVESTING THE KEY TO HAPPINESS?
I recently started reading The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel (love it so far), and in it, there is a chapter titled "Freedom" that talks about dividends — kind of.
In the opening of the chapter, the author writes, "The ability to do what you want, when you want, with who you want, for as long as you want, is priceless. It is the highest dividend money pays." This is freedom in a nutshell, and he refers to this way of living as "the highest form of wealth."
For many of us dividend investors, this is exactly why we do what we do.
When we invest our money, we're not just trying to accumulate wealth for the sake of it, or to buy a Porsche (although, let's be honest, it wouldn't hurt). We're actually investing in our own freedom — the freedom to choose what we want to do with our time and how we want to live our lives.

Dividend investing allows us to take control of our financial future and create a sustainable source of passive income. With a solid portfolio of dividend-paying stocks, like the one I created here, we can enjoy a perpetually flowing and forever growing stream of income that's not dependent on our physical labor or employment status.
This financial freedom gives us the ability to pursue our passions and make decisions based on what we truly want out of life. We're not tied down to a 9-to-5 job or living paycheck to paycheck, but rather, we're free to live life on our own terms.
So while fancy cars and nice things may seem enticing in the moment, they're not truly fulfilling in the long run. Investing in our freedom and financial security is what truly brings us happiness and allows us to live the life we want.
With that said, I want to hear from you. What do you want to spend more time on when you can start living off of dividends? Write to me here and tell me about it.
